The laboratory and professional rendezvous of the Sónar festival, Sónar +D, recently opened the application period for the showcase of developing projects and apps in its 2014 edition, which will take place on the 12th, 13th and 14th of June. On these dates, projects of two of the seven sections that comprise the event will be exhibited: Sonar +D: MarketLab, designed to present projects in beta phase, and AppCafé a lounge designed to test the year’s most innovative mobile applications.
Startups, developers, universities, creative communities, laboratories, hardware platforms and artist software, or any other entity related to music, teaching, creativity or technology can participate in the coming edition whose application period is open until the March 3rd. This past June, during the 3 days of the festival a selection of the most innovative projects were exhibited to encourage their promotion and marketing.
Undoubtedly, with these initiatives, Sónar +D completes another year as one of the most interesting platforms for talented individuals of the world of technology and creativity to present themselves on an international level.

Last year’s edition of Sónar +D was attended by a total of 2,950 professionals of the creative and technological industries and 1,300 companies from around the world. Figures that indicate how the festival has evolved over the years, and is now totally consolidated for the incorporation of new ideas in a new location ideal for presenting the great creations in the world of music, art and business.
Sónar +D, aimed at professionals in the creative and cultural industries and at people looking to start their own business, promotes and facilitates the exchange of knowledge and interaction between professionals from different fields, but that all meet on the common ground of creative industries. For the coming edition, conferences, shows, workshops and networking events will be dedicated to the presentation of all types of projects, that thanks to the assistance of these international and specialized means can reach their full potential.
